The Challenge
We need someone to build and own our entire creative system from ideation to execution. This role requires both hands-on creative skills (video editing, graphic design, copywriting) and strategic thinking (angle development, performance analysis, systematic testing). As we scale rapidly, we need creative that converts at higher ad spend levels while maintaining quality and efficiency. The right person will excel at creative strategy and execution, then build scalable systems and processes around that expertise.

What You'll Own
Creative System Development
● Build a comprehensive creative testing framework and strategy from the ground up
● Establish systematic angle testing methodology with proper tracking and analysis
● Create standardized processes for creative ideation, briefing, production, and feedback loops
● Develop tools and systems to track creative performance variables accurately
Hands-On Creative Production (Initial Focus)
● Execute video editing, graphic design, and copywriting to establish quality standards
● Create high-converting static ads optimized for various platforms
● Transform existing UGC content into ad-ready assets with strategic enhancements
● Ideate and script new video concepts and handle post-production editing
● Establish and achieve monthly creative output targets that support our scaling goals
Strategic Analysis & Optimization
● Collaborate closely with media buyer to analyze ad performance data
● Identify winning angles, formats, and messaging through systematic testing
● Provide strategic feedback and direction based on performance insights
● Stay current with social media trends and competitor analysis, integrate relevant concepts into creative strategy
Team Building & Management (Growth Opportunity)
● As you succeed and prove the systems, build and manage a creative team beneath you
● Hire and manage creative coordinators, editors, and copywriters to scale output
● Coordinate with UGC creators and provide strategic direction for content creation
● Develop team processes that maintain quality while increasing volume
What We're Looking For
Core Skills & Experience
● 3+ years in performance marketing creative strategy for D2C brands
● Proven track record building creative systems and processes at scale
● Experience with beauty/wellness brands strongly preferred
● Portfolio demonstrating performance-creative work including copy, design, and video editing capabilities
Technical Capabilities
● Video editing skills and graphic design proficiency for performance-focused creative
● Copywriting abilities for ad concepts and creator briefs
● Proficiency with creative management tools and analytics platforms
● Smart use of AI tools where helpful, while maintaining creative authenticity and avoiding over-dependency
● Understanding of platform-specific creative requirements (Facebook, Google, TikTok, etc.)
Strategic Thinking
● Data-driven approach to creative strategy and testing
● Ability to identify and leverage cultural trends and social media moments
● Experience with funnel optimization and offer testing coordination
● Understanding of brand consistency while maximizing performance

● Ability to work productively with minimal oversight and direction

What Success Looks Like
Month 1-2:
● Deep dive into brand identity, product benefits, customer personas, and competitive landscape
● Review full asset library and inventory of unused creative content
● Audit existing creative assets and performance data from past campaigns
● Establish systematic creative testing framework, including tracking and analysis
● Deliver initial quick-win creative concepts using existing assets
Month 3-4:
● Execute full creative production using established systems and testing framework
● Demonstrate measurable improvement in creative performance metrics
● Optimize workflows with media buyer and external partners
● Begin systematic angle testing and performance analysis
Month 5-6:
● Identify and scale winning creative concepts and angles
● Refine testing methodology based on learnings
● Establish consistent high-output creative production rhythm
● Document processes and frameworks for potential team scaling
Month 6+:
● Own complete creative strategy driving significant ROAS improvements
● Lead creative innovation supporting retail expansion goals
